Mathematical modeling is “...a process that uses mathematics to represent, analyze, make
predictions or otherwise provide insight into real-world phenomena.” (GAIMME Report).
Kindergarten teachers will see what the Common Core’s Standards of Mathematical Practice #4
“Model With Mathematics” looks like in the K classroom using literature as a springboard and
SeeSaw as a means to hear student justifications.
